1700 HP 392 Hemi, Littlefield 671 Supercharger, NHRS Certified, Racecar history!
This is the way to enjoy true vintage competition. It’s 1923 Ford Roadster with a NHRS certified chassis and methanol-powered 1,700 HP supercharged Hemi. So it’s time to play with the big boys!
You know from the first glance that this is not a street-legal machine. It’s only purpose in life is to burn up the dragstrip asphalt and turn some heads while doing it. The Yosemite Yellow on the fiberglass body and Marvin the Martian character give it some attitude, but really, the true boldness of this one comes with the professional-grade look. The steel fuel tank leads the way; the monster motor sits back in the frame; and the wheelie bar and Deist drag chute package are pure drag racing spec. This one has the classic look correct, right down to the skinny American Racing drag wheels in the front and fat rubber in the rear. In fact, while all the decals tell you this has a professional history, all the signatures on the rear (including Don “Big Daddy” Garlits) verify it’s the real-deal.
The competition-ready attitude continues inside. The full race cage surrounds you; all the toggle switches are clearly labeled; and the AutoMeter Pro-Comp gauges are crisp, especially the all-important large tach. And those who know racing also know how valuable the AutoMeter Pro-Control REV limiter can be. More than just the right components, you can see this was laid out with thought and care. Even the race seat has some nice detail, like the yellow piping around the edges and yellow stitching on the full race harness. Plus, that pentastar embossed in the headrest is a reminder of what’s powering this racer.
That monster in front of you is a methanol-powered 392 Hemi V8. Not only will it also run on nitro or gas, but it has been built for serious fortified power. That means Venolia flat-top pistons, Venolia forged aluminum rods, Clevite mains & rod bearings, Titan high pressure oil pump, and Mondello ported & polished heads, Iskenderian crossflow cam, Iskenderian roller lifters, Smith Brothers pushrods, ARP studs, and cast aluminum Donovan valve covers. While that would be enough for most people, there’s also Littlefield 671 competition blower on top of this beast. There are a ton more details (call for all the info), but just know it’s a full package rated at 1,700 horsepower. And this fire-breathing power announces superiority through those open pipes. It is unfiltered and unapologetic pure power! Getting it to the wheels is a Hemi drag Torqueflite with SFI flexplate and Mark Williams coupler. It feeds a Strange Engineering spool and axle. The chassis knows how to handle it all, because it’s a strong chromoly unit fabricated by Butch Mucholich.
This is a true racer that runs at NHRA nostalgia events and the chassis is certified through March 2022. If you love drag racing, it’s time to get excited. Don’t let this real race car slip away. Call today!!! This vehicle is not street legal will be sold with a bill of sale, no title.
