1947 Chrysler Windsor 2 DOOR Coupe Quasi BARN FIND Project CAR RARE LOOK!
This was My Fathers Car. The car has sat covered in Dad’s barn for the last 19 years. It has 5 more miles on it than it had when purchased. When He purchased in 2002 it was a running and driving car according to previous owner, but needed some work. It was a one family owned car when Dad purchased it. Dad started collecting new chrome parts and other mechanical parts, but never really got back to working on the car. The car does not run at this time. We had to pull it out of the barn for pictures. The car moved in Neutral, but the Brakes did drag from sitting so long. The parts included for reworking the car are new parts to rebuild the Drum Brakes, Voltage regulator, Fuel Pump, Carb rebuild kit, wheel cylinder rebuild kits, new aftermarket mirrors, replacement door handles, mirrors, rear passenger fender chrome trim, Horn, many chrome emblems etc. Parts included value is easily over $1000.00. See all pictures as to exactly what is included and overall condition of the car. Tires held air when we moved the car. Would have potential as a Stock rebuild or could be the basis for a great street rod. Wheelbase is very close to the new Dodge Chargers. Might make a cool resto-mod that way. Car was repainted in the 80’s according to the previous owner and is decent, but nothing extravagant. There are some small scratches in a few places. All chrome on the car will need serious cleaning as it does have some rust etc. Car has always been stored inside so is relatively clean underneath. I did not notice any serious undeframe or body rust anywhere. it is a very solid car.
