1947 Willys Jeep CJ2 This 1947 Willy’s Army Replica Jeep is for sale in our Louisville KY. The Willy’s Jeep has been around since late 1940 delivered to the Army right before we entered WWII. They were an instant hit with service men and all they could talk about when they got home. Willy’s was way ahead of them with CJ2 with the CJ standing for Civilian Jeep. This 1947 CJ2 was built to replicate the original MB with a ton of time and
money to make it as close to the real thing as possible. The green paint is exactly what you would expect with its flat look and covering everything in sight. The inline 4 was rebuilt and just like the original it runs like a clock. Of course, the 4-wheel drive works like a dream I mean it is a Jeep. Now for the fun stuff on this Army replica. First thing you notice is that huge 50 CAL gun that sits between the two seats. It has been fitted with a gas firing system much like the movies use. If you look down from the 50 you will notice 2 grenades that have been deactivated. IN the back you will notice a very correct CB radio that does work adding to the authenticity of this Army Jeep
