1953 Kaiser This is a 1953 Kaiser , I purchased this car a few years ago from an older gentleman who had it in his private collection for over fourthly years , this person was also a member of the kaiser Frazier club and . The car runs excellent and is a great driving car . The history that I received from this gentleman was that sometime in the 60’s the original motor went bad ,so he found a newer Chevy pick up that had been wrecked, he then transplanted that motor and trans into the kaiser, so now the kaiser has an inline Chevy 6 cylinder in it that runs great and is very easy to find parts for at your local auto parts store , if you look at the pics it looks like it came from the factory with that drive train . Also in that same time frame the car was repainted and all the chrome was redone ,some time after that the interior was also re done as can be seen in the pics .The only things I have done to the car since I have it was to replace the tires as they were dry rotted and my first drive down the road they started to peal ,the next and most important upgrade that I did was to install power disc brakes with a power booster and dual master cylinder ,at that time the rear drum brakes were also replaced with new brake shoes and wheel cylinders . The car now not only drives great but it stops good and is now a safer vehicle to drive .As you can see in the pics the car has N.Y. plates on it ,but I recently retired and have moved to Florida and the car is here with me , I don’t have the barn space that I had up north so I must down size and sell a few of my cars (I have 12) so this is one will have to go.I have really not driven the car very much but when I do it always gets more attention then my high dollar hot rods, when was the last time you went to a car show and saw one of these there ?. The only things that I can think of that are wrong with the car is the gas gauge does not work and the knob that you pull for the lights to come on keeps coming off, also there is a mark from the wiper on the passengers side of the windshield. The car has also been converted to a 12 volt system
