This is a barn find 1955 Ford Fairlane that was a drag racing car back in the day in California. Engine is a 312 Y block with a Iskenderian cam, Offenhauser tripower intake, Ford Thunderbird valve cover and custom fender well headers. This has been modified with a Muncie 4 speed transmission model 3831704, Dana 44 rear end and Mickey Thompson wheels on the back. I have cleaned it up some and put new tires on it. Have it hooked up to my truck with a home made tow bar and will include it with the car. Would not tow this on the road with the tow bar but works good for moving it around the house. Now for the bad part. I was told the motor has not run since 1972. Drive shaft is in the trunk, that may be because of the tow bar but uncertain. Motor turns over as seen in the video. Trunk has some damage and does not lock when closed. Piece of trim missing on the drivers door is in the trunck and is bent. Passenger side door class is broken. Brakes do not work except parking brakes. Windshield has a couple of bad spots and will need to be replaced. Do not have any keys. Worst spot of rust I can see is on the fender and shown in the last picture. This is a 70 year old car and has some rust as you would expect. Please look at pictures for physical condition. Odometer read 7853.9 but do not know if correct or even hooked up. Last time the car was titled there is not a date on it, but the evelope it was in is dated 1967. There are 2 trophys inside the car in rough condition. One is from Fontana Dragway dated 1964. Tag on the other trophy is missing. These are included with the car. Spare tire in the back is a Firestone Gum Dipped tire and is unusable but is correct for the era. With all of this being said, it may have other problems that I may be unaware of.
