Up for sale is a very nice and original 62 Chevy Impala. Los Angeles built car. Has original paint and interior. Chrome and trims are all original from 1962 and all in great condition! Only thing not original are the upgrades. Upgraded front power slotted and cross drilled disk brakes, new American Racing wheels and tires, 605 steering box, new original generator style but modern alternator and a new TH350 transmission for freeway driving. Other than that it’s all totally original.
Original 300HP 327 V8 that was overhauled when the new transmission was upgraded. New dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers that sounds great. Runs like a top. Everything was done right at a reputable shop. Tuned and dialed in. Freeway ready! No smoke or noises etc. suspension rebuilt when brake upgrade was done.
Zero rust with all original panels and floors. So no bondo. Never any metal replaced. Trunk has the original zolotone splatter paint as it came in 1962 along the the original spare, jacks and trunk mats.
Original paint is beautifully maintained. Some rock chips here and there but overall I’d say a strong 8/10 as well as the interior. Factory green tint windows and padded dash. AM radio still works as well! Hard to find them this nice and original shape. Never blown apart so windows and doors all open and shut like a new car. Gaps and all correct as it came out of the factory.
Clean title and ready to go. Car is located in Seattle but can help set up transport.
