1965 Jeep Gladiator Pick Up Truck. This truck runs and drives great. It will start right up. The engine was rebuilt, the body was taken off of the frame. All of the rust was fixed. New brake lines, new clutch, 3 speed on the floor. The truck is far from perfect but is nicely done. The body work is not perfect but the truck looks good. In an attempt to be as transparent as possible I am going to list the defects and items that need some work- some small surface rust spots have developed on the body. I have taken pictures and have them in the listing, the emergency brake is not connected, the truck does not have visors or a head liner, the front windshield was broken by a tree branch falling on the truck. I am told safe lite auto glass can replace the glass but I have not investigated, the truck has 4 wheel drum brakes which are NOT power assist. If I was going to drive this truck often I would add front disc brakes. They sell a conversion kit. The brakes stop the truck but this is a big and heavy truck. People driving today will stop short in front of you or will cut you off. The disc brakes would be helpful. The gas gauge does not work. Pretty sure it is the sender from the gas tank. I believe the rest of the electrical system works including the lights and signals. The outside mirrors- 1 is cracked and 1 has the mirror missing but the frame is fine.

When down shifting from 3rd to 2nd the idle of the engine has to be reveved. This will take some practice for the owner.

The good points- The truck has a rebuilt engine and starts and drives great. Under the truck is clean, the interior looks nice with new carpet and seat redone. The tires are near new. The 4 wheel drive works fine. Low and high range work fine. The truck has lock out hubs for the front. The truck has very good power. The truck is a total head turner. When we drive the truck around people stop and look. This is a solid truck with all of the hard work having been done. Some small stuff to do or leave it the way is is and enjoy driving one of the coolest trucks you will see on the road.
