138 VIN, FACTORY POWER STEERING
This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is great looking! It presents itself very well. Looking down both sides, the body is straight. It wears a factory color-Butternut Yellow. The paint shows well and is very glossy. The black vinyl top is in great shape with no signs of rust under it. The door jambs are very clean. The chrome and trim are bright and shiny including the door handles, emblems, taillights, front and rear bumpers. The windshield and windows are crystal clear, the weather stripping and window seals have all been replaced. It sits on a set of 15×8 Chevy Rally wheels with radial tires, they really enhance the car!
The interior looks unabused. The seat upholstery, door panels, armrests, carpet and headliner all look real good. All the interior lights work. The console and dash are in good shape. All the factory gauges and lenses look good. The heater controls slide with ease. The factory steering wheel is nice. It has a retro style AM/FM cassette radio. Nothing appears cut-up or altered.
The engine compartment is clean and orderly with its completely rebuilt 396ci/325hp motor with suffix code EDH, casting number 3855961, Holley 4- barrel dual feed carburetor with correct intake manifold and fuel line. It still retains its factory exhaust manifolds. There is a new master cylinder. Other features are power steering, newer gas tank and sending unit.
The undercarriage is all solid metal (floors, frame etc.). The bottom of the motor is clean. The M20 Muncie 4- speed transmission is clean. The front end components look to have been mostly replaced. It has a newer FlowMaster dual exhaust system that runs out behind the rear tires and a 12-bolt posi rear end. The E-brake assembly is all hooked up and working.
The trunk is nicely detailed with a spare tire, jacking assembly, lug wrench, trunk mat, and new weather stripping. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jambs are glossy.
This is a sharp looking Chevelle SS with great looks! This Chevelle performs really well and is turn-key ready to enjoy!
