1966 Chevrolet Impala for sale

1966 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. Original Red on Red 396 Big Block, turbo 400 transmission, and 12 Bolt rear end. This car is out of an estate.

Power Steering and Brakes.

The 396 is rebuilt with a mild cam. Before the owners passing He told me the engine is the original that came with the car. The block was decked when rebuilt so the pad numbers are gone. I looked at the casting number on the block and it decodes to 1966 396 or 427.

The car runs great. Brakes are good. The top looks new with glass window. The interior looks new original. The underside looks rust free and original.

The radio is missing as is the spare tire and jack. The top switch is out of a Cadillac. It works, but should be replace with the original. The transmission has a leak at the downshift detent connector which causes the trans to leak when the car sits unused. I have the part on order and it will go with the car.

This is a nice car that has been sitting a few years, but the owner put a lot of dollars into the car in the years before his passing.

The owner also told me the car was ordered new by a GM executive as his personal car.

With a little detailing this would be a high dollar car.
