This is a 1967 retired military M715. The civilian version of this truck was the 1960’s Jeep Gladiator. This truck is an absolute beast and needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate it! It is a woodsman’s perfect truck! It is apocalypse ready! The truck has obviously gone through some alterations since its day as a military truck. Most prominently, its 3.8L ‘Tornado’ inline 6 cylinder gasoline engine [132 hp] was replaced with a late 1980’s/early 1990’s Cummins 5.9L inline 6 cylinder diesel engine [~200-250hp]; also, the standard issue military wheels were replaced with 44” super swampers on custom 15” rims. The Super swampers were bought brand new at a cost of over $4000 for the set and only have about 30 miles on them since being put on. The truck has been pretty much in storage since they were put on in early 2022 and the tires still have quite a bit of the rubber injection-mold ‘nipples’ remaining (see pictures) [Note: The original military wheels and tires will be included in this sale.] The stock axles have been replaced with axles that can handle the 44’s. However, what these axles are, or what they came out of escapes my memory. When this truck received its cummins engine, it also received the mated 5 speed manual transmission and transfer case. (This was an $10k+ cost just for the components and doesn’t include the fabrication time to get it to fit.) This truck could stand to have a beefier clutch installed to reduce/prevent slipping when trying to move these massive tires, but the current clutch does an adequate enough job if you are nice to it. This truck also has a new power steering box from Redhead Steering Gears with added hydraulic ram assist. You can literally turn these wheels with a single finger and it is an absolute delight. #butter The front axle has manual locking hubs made by ‘Selecteo’. A battery cutoff switch was installed in the cab as well as the battery was repositioned to the center console of the cab. The side mounted fuel cans and tools are included as well, along with a spare tire/wheel and a ‘hi-lift’ farm jack. I know, I know. What if I decide to take it out to the deep woods and I get stuck… then what? Well, it just so happens that In the front end of this beast is mounted a 12k Warn winch. You can recover yourself, or any of your friends that try to keep up with you but don’t quite make it. There are some issues with this truck and they are as follows: -The ring gear in the front-end needs to be replaced in order to match the rear ratio. The ring and pinion are included in the sale, but need to be installed. -The driver side rocker panel is rusted pretty badly, but we have a brand new one that will be included with the sale. -The fuel gauge is
