1972 Buick GS 455 Stage 1 Convertible Zone car Rare Original Numbers matching
1972 Buick GS Zone car Convertible Stage-1 455 / 400 turbo / 10.5 posi.

How about a Blue chip car with only 11 including this one known to still exist.

We have owned this GS for over eight years. This is a must-see listing as it is very long now but I tried to include the most important info but there is so much more.
Up for your consideration is a real treat for Buick lovers, my 72 Buick GS convertible stage-1 Zone car. All numbers matching. I believe this is the lowest body number zone car known as info collected today. This car has had a complete nut & bolt rotisserie restoration. With a beautiful finish and a 455 that has been warmed over when professionally rebuilt. This car has Not had or needed any rust repair. Many NOS parts have been used for restoration. All Legendary interior and new top. The engine and trans have been rebuilt. The engine has many upgrades that you do not see, arp bolts, forged pistons, smoothed rods, balanced, port matched, high flow valves, pac springs, PC seals, true roller, ported timing cover, balanced pump, AMP upgrades, messaged ceramic coated original exhaust manifolds and so much more. I will be glad to describe them when needed. The stage-1 carb was rebuilt & replated like new. Original power brake booster was replated and the master was rebuilt using stainless sleeve, as were the calipers. Full stainless exhaust with original N25 tips. All brake and fuel lines are stainless. Just too much to type it all. Original T3 headlights. Radio and all speakers have been rebuilt. The radio was upgraded to use a 1/8 plug for Aux play. California car until I had it shipped to me. The final product looks and performs better than it did off the showroom floor. You have the best of both worlds as the engine rebuild has had many upgrades. The stage-1 distributor has been converted pointless.

I have the Sloan Museum documents and a letter of authenticity from Buick on company letterhead.

I believe this car was displayed at two Buick dealers, Don Collins Buick and then Smythe Buick Inc. both California Buick dealers.

This car was stored for over 30 years before I purchased it over 8 years ago. It was purchase from a Buick collector estate at that time. It had mostly original paint, interior, convertible top, well liner and boot. Some pictures in link.

This car received a high-quality full nut & bolt rotisserie restoration.

All new Moog rubber suspension parts. Hotchkis springs and stock style shocks. Harrison Radiator.

The entire interior was redone with Legendary Auto Interior.

New correct convertible top with original style liner and new boot.

Original radiator cap, T3 headlights, etc. Some original items were replated not painted. Original style hoses and clamps.

The car is finished in a beautiful basecoat / clearcoat. Original floors, trunk floor, quarter panels, hood, fenders, inner fenders, core support, doors and deck lid. This car had No repair pieces welded in, All rust free sheetmetal on this Calf car.

The following is a small list of Nos parts: convertible top weatherstrips, door handles, gaskets, Front rubber strips, rear rubber strips, taillight surrounds, ram air foams, center caps, qtr window rubber, etc.

The transmission is the numbers matching BB TH400 automatic with posi 10.5- rear end.

This GS has so much going for it; a real Stage-1 Big Block, a complete nut & bolt restoration, and an impressive list of upgrades coupled with excellent looks, sound, and performance. With its 455 engine and other improvements, it makes for a GS that not only screams β€œmuscle car” but is also a thrill to drive.

Some changes I have made.
