1984 F-150 XL, Short bed
1984 F-150 XL. 4 Wheel Drive. 4-Speed w/granny gear. 300 Inline 6 cylinder. Power Steering. Short bed. Outstanding, excellent condition.
I purchased this truck from the original owner’s widow. The truck is all original except for one repaint prior to 2010(before the original owner’s death). It does show 58,000 miles and those are believed to be original, although I do not have any documentation to prove that. This truck has never been off-road and is extremely tight. It has always been garaged kept and obviously meticulously maintained. The paint is beautiful and the body shows no signs of rust anywhere. The interior is all original. There are no cracks in the dash. The original seat is in excellent condition except for the one small tear as seen in the photo. There are no stains in the seat. The bed has been Rhino-lined. The bed does not have a single dent inside the bed. All of the chrome is beautiful. The locking hubs turn with ease. The truck has not been sitting. It has been driven on short drives over the years. It is in excellent mechanical condition. These 300 I6 engines are some of the best Ford ever made. The transmission shifts just like new. The axle tag does read 3L55, which shows it to have the limited slip rear end. I would feel comfortable driving it any distance. It does have new brakes. This is the most beautiful 1984 F-150 4X4 I have ever seen.
