1989 Lincoln town car Signature series
I have here a 1989 Town car signature series. I am an auto mechanic and hobby auto restorer and i purchased this from an individual that inherited the car from the original owner. I will give as much detail as i can so please ask any questions if you need additional information. I just saw one of these that had 34k miles sell for 16K! so i feel its a reasonable price. So here we go. The car i was told was stored for at least 10 years because the original owner could not drive anymore from old age. It was pulled from its slumber just a few months ago. So the first order was a new battery, tires, oil change, power steering pressure hose, fuel flush, brakes, and transmission overhaul. The rest of the car has its original belts and hoses and everything else. I did not replace these as they are still in great condition. I have the car running and driving like it should. Everything works right now except the power antenna and the radio. The radio does come on but does not produce any sound. The A/C i was able to recharge and had it working but lost refridgerant after a few days. The interior looks almost flawless. You can tell this car has been inside all its life as the dash is not cracked and the seats or any of the interior has not faded. The weatherstripping is nice and soft also. The paint is has a great shine and the bright metal is in great condition. The paint does have some flaws like minor scratches and some chipping as shown in picture. But for over 30 years old its very nice. The power seats are working but the switches need a little wiggle to get them to come alive. The automatic heating works as it should. The headlights and turn signals work as they should even the auto dimmer is working. The autolamps for automatic night time are not working at this time. I will look into this but if the sensor is bad i wont be able to fix it. But super nice car. I love to drive it. I have another one i am restoring or i would keep this one. But i have enough cars already lol. Look at the pictures and see for yourself that this is a nice one to add to your collection. I do drive the car once and awhile to keep everything fresh so mileage may increase by a little. I can deliver up to 4 hours or so from my location also. Thanks for looking!
