This police package Caprice was built at the GM Plant in Arlington, Texas in June 1994.It was delivered to the New York State police on Julv 21,1994. This marked unit number 2F – 14 was placed into service at Troop F, Zone 2, on February 17, 1995. On October 12, 1997, after two years eight months this unit was taken Out of Service and Retired with 86,822 miles. On November 6, 1997 this vehicle was sold at auction in New York State. The new owner placed this caprice into long-term garage storage as is for 12 ears from 1997 till 2009. In March 2009, this is all original marked unit number 2F-14 was purchased by an active lieutenant in the New York State Police. The Lieutenant kept this vehicle stored and had not displaced it much while he owned it from 2009 till 2015 and in fact only driven it for 1500 miles between 2015 to 2022. This Caprice was sold to a couple of different Collectors and was always properly maintained, stored and occasionally shown at various New York State Police Events. Two of the Titled Owner’s on record were Estates of previous Owners who passed away.
Finally, in 2023, I was fortunate enough to purchase this Time Capsule. This New York State Trooper Car is an all Original and Unrestored Survivor. This vehicle retains all of its Original Tire’s (Eagle RSA), Emergency Equipment, Paint, Etc. This Trooper Unit was only 1 of 2 vehicles to retire complete and as it left the State Police. Also, it should be mentioned that this Caprice drive’s beautifully and needs nothing except new tire’s if it will be driven (The show like new however 25 yrs old). NO RUST EVER, NO ACCIDENT’s, No Bondo, etc. I have a video walk around video and can send more pic’s to an interested buyer.
