2004 Ford Thunderbird This car runs and drives very nice except it harsh shifts into reverse. My mechanic says it needs a PCM (Powertrain Control Module). The PCM is running the transmission fluid pressure to high. I must be replaced before any significant driving or the fluid pressure could break something inside the transmission soon. The transmission shifts normally and does not slip.
I had a stroke and can no longer drive. My mechanic says good rebuilt PCM units are hard to find for this car, and I do not want to go to the trouble to find one that works sense I can’t even drive it any more! There are no other significant problems with it that I know of. I take good care of it. I have lots of maintenance receipts, and some repair receipts.
