1 of 6 EVER Made.

This AM General HMMWV is an M1151A1 with a removed turret and a 15,500-lb. GVWR, which was acquired in 2023 and subsequently modified by Kilo Tango Trucks of St. Augustine, Florida. A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission were installed along with a 3k-rpm stall torque converter and a 12-volt electrical system. The truck rides on lifted suspension and 20″ Black Rhino wheels wrapped in 40″ Nitto Trail Grappler tires, and other details include 12k-pound rated half shafts, Wilwood brakes, a fabricated exhaust system, and LED exterior lighting. Inside, four bucket seats are trimmed in black, and the cabin is outfitted with digital instrumentation, Vintage Air climate control, a MOMO steering wheel, a digital rearview mirror, and a Wet Sounds Bluetooth head unit linked to a soundbar and a subwoofer. This modified M1151A1 is now offered with a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s company.

The body was media blasted and Epoxy primer was applied before the white bed liner material, and it features a slant-back roof with a hinged hatch. Additional details include LED lighting, black hardware and mirrors, side steps, front tow hooks, a clamshell hood, and X-pattern doors. Train-style air horns are installed along with an onboard air tank.

The truck rides on a 3″ lift kit and replacement ball joints, end links, tie rods, shocks, and springs. The 20″ Black Rhino wheels are mounted with 40×15.50″ Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood hydroboost-assisted inboard disc brakes. The power steering and brake lines were also replaced during the build.

Four bucket seats are trimmed in black with red stitching. Cabin appointments include a Vintage Air climate system with a digital control unit, along with a digital rearview mirror and a Wet Sounds Bluetooth head unit linked to a soundbar and subwoofer.

The MOMO steering wheel sits ahead of a digital instrument cluster that displays a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The odometer shows 54 miles, which is said to represent the miles added since the build was completed.

A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 (525hp) crate engine was used for the build (BRAND NEW from GM), and a revised camshaft was installed. Other details include a Spectre air intake and cooling system with a Derale dual fan kit and Champion radiator. A 12-volt electrical system and braided fuel lines were also installed.

The 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission (BRAND NEW from GM) was installed during the build with a 3k-rpm stall torque converter, and 12k-pound rated half shafts were also fitted. The frame was also sandblasted and powder-coated, and the seller notes that the transfer case, differentials, and portal axles were rebuilt, and the u-joints were replaced. A fabricated exhaust system has also been installed.

The truck is titled in Montana to the manufacturer’s serial number 259158, which is shown above, and it lists a 2010 model year.

BASICALLY EVERYTHING ON THIS TRUCK IS BRAND NEW, IT WILL LAST FOR YEARS TO COME, AND TURN HEADS WHEN PEOPLE HEAR THE RUMBLE FOR THE LS3 ENGINE.
Why did they use an LS3 engine instead of a Diesel? Many reasons. Most people think a diesel in these trucks is better to pull trailers. Well the truth is, the military humvee is only able to pull between 3400 and 4200 pounds. Therefore using a diesel is useless in these to pull things. Secondly, have you ever tried to get mechanics to work on a diesel engine in a military humvee? Have you ever tried to find performance parts for a diesel engine? An LS3 engine is one of the easiest engines to work on and you can find a mechanic anywhere for repairs or modifications. Performance parts for an LS3 engine are endless. So if you like Military Humvee, and want something that can be driven on the road legally during the week, and on the weekend you want to take it to car shows and draw massive crowds, then this is your new toy.
