1965 Chevrolet Impala Coupe, 283 Powerglide, Sale or Trade
No doubt about it, the 1965 Impala has stood the test of time. Think about this. In 1965 the best-selling car in America was the Chevrolet Impala with over one million units sold! But more than 50 years later it still looks like something special and remains a very desirable car. Now what is the best-selling car in America today, and in another 50 years will people have any admiration for it? Probably not; this is what makes a classic like this so special.

This Impala certainly makes that clear. It is a great looking car from any angle, with plenty of character and charisma. It has been repainted a brilliant red and also received a ceramic coating treatment for improved shine and durability. Much of the trim was also replaced as have the window felts and door seals. The 17โ€ wheels and tires are also new, while the front has been lowered slightly to give the car a more aggressive stance. And is there any taillight setup that looks better than a 1965 Impala’s?

The drivetrain consists of a 283ci V8 and Powerglide 2-speed automatic. This is a proven, durable combination that may not have neck-snapping acceleration but will cruise reliably all night long. The car also has power steering which really helps driving these big classics. All four front ball joints have been replaced and the brakes received new wheel cylinders, shoes, and hoses. A nice thing about the 1965 B-body is the introduction of the perimeter frame. This not only provides better handling but also makes the car safer for the occupants.

The black interior has seen a lot of work as well. Both the front and rear seats have new upholstery that was professionally installed. The car also has new carpeting and new seat belts. A set of Impala rubber floor mats is also included. All gauges and indicators work properly as do all the lights, turn signals, wipers, heater / defroster, parking brake, and horn. An underdash radio / CD player has also been installed.

This Impala represents one of the great American classics and will draw a crowd wherever it goes. It has such a great look and is a turn-key car for the next owner. And while prices have soared recently, this one remains relatively affordable.
