1968 PIPER CHEROKEE 140, 4 PLACE, 5,300TT, 1144 SMOH, POWERFLOW EXHAUST, NOSE FORK BROKEN, PROP STRIKE, NO OTHER DAMAGE, CHEAP!!
THIS IS A 4 PLACE CHEROKEE 140, NEWER THAN MOST 140’S, SO IT HAS A CLEANER DASH LAYOUT AND THE OPTION OF TOEBRAKES, WHICH THIS AIRPLANE HAS !!

THE LYCOMING 0-320E2A ENGINE HAS 1,145 HOURS SINCE MAJOR, IN 2001. THE MAGS HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO SLICK 4300 SERIES (THE LATEST).

ALTHOUGH ONLY 150 H.P., THIS ENGINE/AIRFRAME HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH THE POWERFLOW EXHAUST SYSTEM!!

EXPENSIVE ENOUGH SO THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T ADD THIS SYSTEM, ($4,450 !) THOSE THAT DO ENJOY MORE POWER THAN A STOCK 160 H.P. WOULD GIVE THEM, OR A 15% SAVINGS IN FUEL BURN AT THE SAME POWER !!

THIS 140 HAS GOOD LOOKING PAINT, WITH RED TAIL AND N NUMBER BUT NO ACCENT STRIPES, SO I BELIEVE IT WOULD BE EASY TO MAKE THIS AIRPLANE LOOK SHARPER.

DURING A HARDER THAN NORMAL LANDING ON THE NOSEGEAR, THIS AIRPLANE BENT THE NOSE AXLE. WHILE TAXIING BACK TO IT’S PARKING SPOT, THE WHEEL WOBBLED AND THE NOSE FORK, AN ALUMINUM CASTING, BROKE IN TWO WHERE IT ATTACHES TO THE NOSEGEAR BLOCK.

NATURALLY, THE AIRPLANE SAGGED DOWN AT THE FRONT AND THE PROP HIT THE GROUND, BENDING BOTH TIPS BACK.
