1969 MGB GT No Rust, Zero Rust, Original Paint, No Wrecks. A survivor car, bought new in Merced, CA. and spent all its life in northern California and Washington state.
Please read the entire description and ask any questions before bidding.
I have several items of original documents. Original owner was in the Air Force and used the MG to drive to the base. It was stored around 2010 with 60,000 miles on the clock, the owner later died and it went to an enthusiast near Sacramento. He got the car back on the road and I bought it from him, so I am the 3rd owner. Current mileage is about 61500 and is believed to be geniune.
Being a west coast car, it is completely rust-free. It also has its original pale primrose paint. Not perfect and yes there are imperfections but nothing serious. No big dents and the paint presents well. I think it looks very nice for 50 plus year old paint.
The car runs very well and drives nicely (no overdrive). Everything works.
I have 2 sets of keys, all locks work. All glass and glass seals are good.
The body still wears it’s original paint. While there are no wrecks or big dents, there are 50+ years of chips and paint imperfections.
I have tried to photograph the most notable areas. Personally, I much prefer this car as it is, they are only original once.
The interior is a mix of original and replaced items. The original front seat covers were beyond repair, so I replaced them with original style (vinyl). Back seat is original. Carpet was bad, so I replaced it, however it still retains its original (and very nice) rubber floor mats / sill covers. I had to do some repairs on the driver’s rubber sill.
I replaced everything I could find to make it a good daily driver.
