1970 AMC Rebel THE Machine Project CAR. You are bidding on a 1970 AMC Rebel “The Machine” project car. 1 of 2300 built and 1 of the 1000 red white and blue Machines produced. Car shows 96K miles. It was recently removed from the barn where it was driven into in 1983. I believe the car prior to 1981 spent its life in or near Seven Hills, Virginia. There is a parking sticker on front window. It has not been started or driven since 1983. This Machine currently has a 360 engine in with the correct T10 4speed transmission and bell housing. The correct 390 engine is out of the car and is included with the car. The 390 Engine block is casting number 3195529 with its original Machine only intake manifold casting number 3199762C. The valve cover tag reads 305YOC. I do not have exhaust manifolds, balancer, front timing cover, or a carb. The body on this car is very solid. The left rear quarter panel has some rust on the lip as pictured and the left vertical inner rocker sheet metal has some rust and is pictured. The floors, trunk, trunk lid, rockers, front fender troughs, rear quarters behind rear wheels, rear spring perches, front lower fenders, and area behind front wheels are all solid. Bottom door lips are solid. Outer driver door skin may need some minor repair in corners. The lower part of the left quarter in front of the rear wheel has had some repair. I believe the front fenders have never been removed, they still have factory braze to the rocker panels. I do have more under car pics that can be sent! The interior is original and will need attention. The car has a incorrect shifter and the tunnel hole was slightly modified. The vin tag and door tags are intact and pictured. Spare tire is missing. Car has all 4 correct Machine wheels.
