1970 Dodge Charger 500 Prostreet Drag Race Car
Hello, up for sale is my 1970 Dodge Charger 500 Prostreet and/or Drag race car(wherever you choose to class it?). It is incomplete, but comes with a clean Minnesota title.
From the factory
If I decoded it correctly, it came from the factory B5 blue, black/charcoal interior, black vinyl top, 383, 727, & 8.75.
What it comes with today
Engine bay is Raspberry Red, body is in primer with a silver wrap and purple accents, no vinyl top, black and red interior, shortened 8.75, no engine, and no transmission.
Condition and what it comes with
*Exhaust- Full exhaust(minus headers/exhaust manifolds)
*Brakes- should all there with with an extra master cylinder(one for 4 drum and one for front disc and rear drum). I would replace front brakes.
*Line Lock-there, but will need button
*Wheels&Tires- 15×14 Centerlines in the rear and 15×8.5 slots in front. Tires are older. I might drive them around town, but not race on.
*Front suspension/K-Frame-believe it is all there minus shocks.
*Rearend- Shortened 8.75 with sure grip and 4.56 gears(works great but missing the corners of a few teeth-see picture). It also comes with a second carrier with spool and 5.56gears? It only has 10 runs, but will need new ring and pinion.
*Driveshaft-yes
*Engine-none
*Transmission-none
*Wiring-will come with newer 6al, booster coil, and r.box(in engine bay picture). It will also come with stock wire harness(not pictured)
*Fuel system-fuel cell and nothing else
*Engine Bay-Painted Rasp Red a few years ago before i decided to wrap car silver to go racing.
*Floors- See pictures, they are there and solid, except above tranny, blew up and left hole that needs fixing? Some is stock, some is patches, and some is a lighter metal to save on weight. Some is welded, some rivets, and some metal screws.
*Roll cage- new 4 years ago. 10 point with swing outs. Passes tech easily.
*Interior-aftermarket buckets and steering wheel, no back seat, no center console, no carpet, no seat belts, no headliner(does come with bows), beautiful dash pad, glove box door, glove box insert stock gauge cluster(tic toc tac), no door panels, heater box and all glass is good.
*Exterior trim-see picture, i believe it is all there including vinyl top, but minus wheel opening trim. Newer locks.
*Bumpers-comes with rechromed rear and a glass front. Does not have grill, structure, or rails.
*Front valance-glass
*Front fenders-None
*Hood-none
*Body-As stated above, no front fenders or hood come with this car. The engine bay has been worked and repainted to the red I planned to paint the whole car until I decided to do a quick wrap to make it look good while racing. Doors are great, roof is solid, and deck lid is fiber glass. The quarters(right one has a crease), tail panel, and rear valance look fine, but if you want perfection, i would eventually replace. Old quarters had the rust cut off and used ones laid over the top. plenty of mud smoothing stuff out back there.
Parts- This also comes with a Janak fiberglass Daytona window plug. Sell the 70 specific parts and keep going down the Daytona path, sell the Daytona plug and stick with 70 path, or sell both specific parts and make it a 69.
