Drag Car 454ci Block Bored .60 Over Produces 625hp 10 Bolt Rear The age of muscle cars peaked as the 1970s began – and the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 helped to herald the ascent. When GM lifted its displacement ban on midsize cars, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick responded with 455ci mills with up to 370hp. Chevy’s retort was a 454ci V8 that started at 360hp and ended at a barbaric 450hp. This was the muscle car summit.

This drag strip modified Chevy, is being sold on a BILL OF SALE ONLY, there is not a title. It is not street legal and does have a current competition inspection sticker.

Exterior
Rough with plenty of bondo and filled in areas that are not sanded sufficiently, yielding a very scratchy undulations finish, that was painted over by blue metallic. Plastic windows replace all glass. New JEGS billet style wheels are covered in new drag slicks in the rear, and narrow treads in front. A black fiberglass hood with a large scoop covers the engine bay. Door frames have been eliminated to allow for installation of the lightweight plastic windows. Headlights have been covered over for aerodynamics, and front turn signals taped over.

Interior
Roll caged (professionally built), totally stripped of all interior panels, carpet, seats etc. Battery shutoff, MSD electronics, 4000 stall converters, and a Simpson blue and black racing seat are installed.
