1981 marked the end of the 2nd Gen Trans AM and also the end of the real Pontiac V8. This One-Owner Trans AM is a perfect example of a rare collectible that will stand the test of time as a sound investment. This TA is one of only 2000 Daytona Turbo Pace car built in 1981. While the 220 Hp rating may seem low, it was the top of the heap in 1981. The Corvette was only 190hp, Z28 – 175hp and the Mustang was only 120hp. So Pontiac really was the best you could buy. 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, WS6 Handling Package and the Turbo-Charged decals told the world this car was something different.
