1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman Leading Buyer/Seller/Restorer
Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, Internationally recognized as a leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile excellent condition Grand Wagoneers, presents this Santa’s sled of Grand Wagoneers, in beautiful Sebring Red. She is a first year of production 1984 Grand displaying only 72,990 miles ! (That averages out to a remarkable low 1,900 miles per year….Confirmed by an accident free Carfax)
She has just been repainted in the original factory ordered Sebring Red and she looks brilliant. Filming her in the snow has really made that color pop….Truly one of the prettiest Grands ever to be in my driveway. The wood siding along with the wood trim are also brand spanking new, Along with the new paint and wood siding and wood trim, the gold insert wheels have just been professionally refinished along with period correct red/white & blue center wheel caps. The whitewall tires pictured were changed out for new all season whitewall tires but not till after the photo array was taken. The front grill is likewise brand new with the remaining exterior chrome bits (bumpers & such) original and remaining in very good condition. You won’t find a Grand Wagoneer more striking than this one.
The cabin of our factory inaugural year Grand Wagoneer is finished in Nutmeg. A very rich dark color that ages beautifully. As the pictures display, the interior is in lovely condition. That deep shag carpet you see is the factory original and is still in great form. You can’t buy factory shag carpet any longer and if we have a Wagoneer, like this one, where the carpet is in such fine condition, we elect to keep it. (Just to give you an idea of how rare that occurs for us, less than 5% of the time do we have a Grand that has original carpeting in shape as strong as this one). We have new custom Grand Wagoneer floor mats to further protect that original shag carpet, we just left the floor mats out of the pictures so buyers could see the beautiful original condition of the shag carpeting. The working interior appointments include power seats, power mirrors, power door locks, power windows, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt wheel, all the way down to the original AM/FM/Cassette stereo.
The mechanical and electrical sorting of our Grands is as important to us as the cosmetic side and our Sebring Red here is running beautifully. The four wheel drive system, braking and suspension components, along with the engine/ transmission and electricals, are all reviewed by our mechanics and works organized and sorted, where needed. Along the same lines as the carpet story in the paragraph above, and how rare it is we keep the original, the same can be said for the factory carburetor set up. We routinely swap out the carbs in our Grands and replace with modern fuel injection. Our Sebring Red here however, has her carburetor performing so well, we have elected to keep it. Now, for an added investment, the buyer can have this Wagoneer upgraded with fuel injection but again, her carb has been performing spot on throughout the restoration. For us to keep an original carburetor set up, occurs less than 10% of the time.
Why buy from a Grand Wagoneer specialist? For us the answer is simple- our entire focus is on Grand Wagoneers and we know these unique vehicles inside and out. When you purchase a Classic Gentleman Wagoneer it has been thoroughly inspected and serviced by professional mechanics, some with over thirty years of Wagaoneer experience. You may only own one of these in your lifetime, while we buy, fully sort and sell dozens and dozens every year. That is a lot of practice. Our goal is to see that the joy and enthusiasm of Grand Wagoneer ownership begins immediately with your purchase and that it will be there for years to come.
Yes, all of our sales are as-is since these are 30 plus year old classics but be sure to have a look at our website’s recommendation page where you can see first hand the positive experiences of a worldwide assortment of named buyers. We deal honestly and work hard to insure a happy buyer. You will never be pressured or chased for a sale but given all the time needed to insure if a purchase is right for you. Guided by these principals, our modestly sized niche dealership has built a loyal and devoted customer base spanning 5 continents.
