This rare current issue M1151A1 HMMWV (Humvee) is an improved version of the M1151 Expanded Capacity Armament Carrier which was developed and designed AM General. The M1151 is fitted with a heavier chassis and improved engine than the standard M1113 Humvee. This one is a rare fully “up armored” which means it is fitted with the Integrated Armor Protection (IAP) package. CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating) Mil Spec issued painted current field camo. This vehicle is new issue quality and includes many accessories with a fully issued field vehicle.

This M1151A1 is not a conversion of the consumer version which was sold in dealerships but rather is the reference for those. Some of the features this 11 ton vehicle has are:

Armament: Fitted up top with current issue low profile ring-mounted turret capable of a 360-degree arc of fire. Ready to mount armored cupola gunner protection and shield available if interested. In the field, this weapon station is protected and was armed with Mk 19 Mod 3 automatic grenade launcher, M2, caliber, .50 machine gun, M60 and M240 7.62mm machine guns, and M249 5.56mm Squad Assault Weapon (SAW).

Design & Protection: The M1151A1 layout is similar to the standard version of Humvee with engine at the front, crew compartment in the center with four seats and cargo area at the rear. M1151A1s can be equipped with adaptable armor packages. The Integrated Armor Protection (IAP) package of the M1151A1 includes FRAG1 Kit with ballistic armored doors (front & rear includes 4” ballistic glass) along with under carriage, rockers, and lower and main windscreen deflector armor. Additionally, this unit has an up armored roof and rear sponson and interior armored doors completing fully issued field specs. The front of the truck is carrying a rare Special Forces Ibis Tek push bar which is highly sought after. Includes Rhino tire carrier option with full size new spare

Mobility: The M1151A1 is motorized with a General Engine Product (GEP) V8, 6.5l Turbocharged Diesel engine developing 190 hp. at 3,400 RPM with only 700 miles on the odometer. Fully-loaded, this M1151A1 can climb road grades as steep as 40% and traverse a side slope of up to 30%. Not only is this unit is equipped with the up armored suspension for the added weight but it also has a reinforced frame, cross members, lifting shackles, heavy-duty variable rate rear springs, shock absorbers, reinforced control arms, heavy-duty tires and rims, and a transfer case and differential with a modified gear ratio.
