Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the classic and muscle car business. Check out this wicked 1965 Shelby GT350H tribute, one of the wildest Mustangs I’ve had the pleasure of driving. The “H” refers to Hertz, the century old car rental company that first partnered with Shelby American in 1966. The contract was intended to add some spice to Hertz’s Sports Car Club, now universally misremembered as the “rent-a-racer” program. Interestingly, although the majority of cars were painted in Hertz’s black and gold corporate colors, there were others, including 61 red cars that came without stripes! Our gorgeous 1965 is definitely easy on the eyes, but it’s what’s under the hood that counts, and this one COUNTS! Beneath the classic scooped hood is a Ford 5.0L DOHC 32v Coyote V8, a 7000 rpm screamer with FAR more power than an original Shelby. Additional features include power rack and pinion steering, 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, air conditioning, tilt steering column with classic Moto-Lita teak wheel, a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, Ford 9″ rear end, GT350R front bumper and valance, HD front and rear stabilizer bars, tubular steel front control arms with coilovers, beautiful MagnaFlow stainless steel exhaust with X-pipe, Classic Instruments Shelby gauges, and fresh Nitto high performance tires (225/45ZR17 F, 245/45ZR17 R) wrapped around alloy wheels with Hertz center caps. Our sexy ‘Stang runs and drives beautifully, with an astounding power-to-weight ratio (plenty of power, no wait!) and an addictive exhaust note. One more classic corner carver from the team that can make your dream a reality. Helmet and Nomex driver’s suit not included. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
