If you ever wanted a big Dodge car Hauler now is the time. Here’s the former Bobby Yowell Pro Stock Dodge 1971 D700 Crewcab race car hauler. There’s a couple pics of it now and some period ones from the early seventies. The Dart Sport on the back isn’t included but can be bought separately. Also, most of the stuff stored in the truck isn’t included but the extra fenders are.
Apologies for the poor pics, its very hard to get good ones where I have it currently parked. It’s about 33 feet long so be aware this is not a little 1 ton pick up.
As you can see the original sleeper roof section was removed and of course there’s a little bit of butchery related to that and the passenger side fuel tanks are missing. The engine is a 440 block with 413 Dodge Truck industrial heads, crank, water pump etc. Edelbrock carburetor and oil bath air cleaner. Full air brakes, power steering, double disk 13″ hydraulic clutch, 5 speed Spicer transmission and a 2 speed rear end. It runs and can drive but hasn’t in many years. I will need about 1 week to change out the fuel pump and get it moving again. You will need to tow this home as its not road worthy although it will run and drive and of course drive up onto a flatbed.
In the past, I’ve driven it around the block on occasion and I completely rebuilt the rear brakes including new drums, shoes, brake cans, air line hoses and changed the rear end gear oil (4 gallons).
Has bench seat front but missing the rear bench seat. The engine has an NOS direct drive starter, custom brackets for modern Sanden A/C compressor already installed as I was going to install a roof A/C unit as original. Engine is mechanically very solid and runs smooth. Radiator was serviced and is in good shape with new coolant. The airbrake compressor is a rebuilt unit and makes air quick.
